André Clérigo is a 24 year old Ph.D. student in Computer Science (MAP-i) at the University of Aveiro, and a researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações, with experience in network systems, smart cities, and intelligent transportation systems. Current work focuses on multimodal bidirectional interactions between vulnerable road users and connected and autonomous vehicles, combining mixed reality, cooperative perception, and real-time communication frameworks in real-world environments. This research builds on an award-winning MSc thesis and international collaboration with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Carnegie Mellon University, but also enterprises, mainly Brilliant Wear.
